Developed in cooperation with interested parents and educators in 1994, the Challenge School is the first magnet school in the Cherry Creek School District. Our focus is to provide academically advanced, motivated, and gifted/talented students in grades K-8 with academic challenges commensurate with their abilities.

Storm Schedule

If conditions are hazardous...please make safe decisions.

Because Challenge School is a school of choice, carpool drivers must use their discretion during inclement weather even if the school is running on a normal schedule.

On days that the district announces a delayed start, classes will start at 9:00 a.m. Please allow enough time to arrive by 9:00 a.m.

Parents are encouraged to make arrangements in advance with your child(ren) in the event of an early release (a neighbor's house where they will go, emergency phone numbers for them to call, etc.)

Should inclement weather or emergency situations result in the closing of district schools, or in an adjustment to school start or dismissal times, the information will be available at the following locations:
